DIY Crate Christmas Tree Crate

Who says that Christmas trees needs to have skirts underneath? Why can’t they have something unique, like a worn and rustic crate?

Donna had the exact same thought when she created this tree crate for her home.

Scrap Wood Christmas Trees

Donna’s talents extend to Christmas trees on a small scale too!

These sweet evergreens were created using scrap wood, MilkPaint™ and her grain sack stencils. The clever bit about this project is that the grain sack stripes make the bases look like presents!

MMSMP + Raw Wood = LOVE

These rustic Christmas tree crafts are ideal for Miss Mustard Seed’s® Milk Paint because it soaks into raw wood like a dream. Our paint isn’t like modern paints on the market. It soaks into porous surfaces, like wood and brick, more like an opaque stain. It becomes a part of the surface rather than drying on top in a thick layer.

To learn more about how our paint behaves on raw wood, hop over to this post.

We know that you’ll love embracing your inner “junkaholic” with Donna’s tutorials.

Make sure you take MMSMP along for the sleigh ride!
